I wish I had saved the titles for the first few. I have no idea what they were called.

Anywho, hello world. It is good to be getting back online. I meant to get this all back up awhile ago, but since the web design frustrates me, I walked away for a bit. Also, as I’m sure is the same for everyone, life can be distracting.

So, here is a quick update.

Towards the end of the comics original run, I had returned to the industry. I was working for a college bar and a local brewery. I had realized the industry is where I am happy and that office work is not something that sits well with me. With that in mind, I decided it was time to start looking for ways to move up in the business. If I was going to stay here, I needed to clear a path and learn how to run my own place.

So, one wrecked relationship and a cross country move later, I am now managing a well established joint on the west coast. The place has been here for roughly 17 years and has staff in the 8-14 year ranges in terms of employment length. Long story short, the place does okay.

Now, I’m learning the other side. The business side. I had no idea how little I knew and no idea how little I would initially get paid. I now understand a lot of the attitudes I got from managers back in the day. I didn’t realize at the time that I was getting paid more than them. But that’s the business. If I want to make the money, I need to start over at the bottom and work my way up a different ladder. It isn’t glamorous, but I love it and I’m having a good time. I have to be smart about what I say here (my current place of employment will not be promoted or mentioned by name here), but I can promise you I have a lot of additional fun observations. Many of them will be presented as, ‘at a place I used to work…’ because I have to be smart.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to being back and looking forward to putting these comics back up. I had forgotten how far they had developed by the time I left and am eager to share them again with you.
